The effects

Semi-permanent make up uses colour pigmentation to create a beautiful yet natural effect that should last all day and all night long for 2-5 years. Whether that’s a defined eyeliner, or a wash of colour to your lips. The benefits of this makeup are noticeable from the moment you get up and look in the mirror, and the effect stays with you from morning through to night, day after day.*

The treatment

We use a specialist facial tattooing machine, working at a much lower frequency than a standard tattoo machine.To apply pigment, we use very fine needles to the desired area. But don’t panic if you don’t like the thought of needles! We use anaesthetic on the area beforehand, and the sensation is that of an electric toothbrush being held against your skin. You should feel vibrations but no discomfort. If you are having an eyeliner treatment your eyes might be a bit puffy and sensitive, so we advise you do not drive a vehicle immediately after. After a lip treatment, your lips are likely to be swollen, so we advise not to make any social plans for a few days afterwards.*

Is it painful?: Some people may feel discomfort and but some don’t feel anything at all. We always use topical anesthetics to reduce the discomfort.
How long does it take?: A session lasts usually lasts around 1 hour.
Is the treatment permanent?: The treatment is semi-permanent, so will need topping up.*
How long does it last?: Each and every client is different. Usually, after your first treatment fades, 1-3 top ups are needed. The treatment can then last from 2 to 5 years, but regular maintenance will be needed depending on your own situation. This is so varied as lifestyle plays a role in how quick the pigment fades. This can be from sun exposure, the speed of skin cell regeneration and the colour you chose.*
