Anti-Aging, Acne and Hyperpigmentation Treatment
Whether you’re suffering with acne, aging, sun damage or hyperpigmentation, our glycolic peel helps to keep the skin looking younger and can slow down the aging process.*
The FDA approved treatment uses glycolic acid which is applied as a chemical solution to the surface of the skin to produce the careful removal of its outer layers. The amount of skin removed will depend on the type of chemical used, its strength and how long it is left on the skin.*

Acne breakouts can be greatly reduced by the deep pore cleansing action of the peels. Basic steam and extraction facials cannot clean out pores as well as glycolic can, because the glycolic solution can soak into the pores and dissolve the congestion there, and can remove even the tiniest of blackheads. As the acid exfoliates the skin deeper than general exfoliants, the peel prevents the build-up of dead skin cells that block and clog the pores which cause blackheads and breakouts. Therefore, glycolic acid can also be great for oily congested skins as a prevention method.*
Firstly, the glycolic acid exfoliates away the tough, dull, dead layer of skin then penetrates through that layer to rejuvenate and regenerate the skin cells underneath. The exfoliation as well as the rejuvenation can do wonders for fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone and blemishes.*
- Am I right for this treatment?
Glycolic peels are not suitable for people with open wounds or sores in the area to be treated or people that are prone to cold sores.
We will not carry out treatment on ladies who are pregnant, and people taking Roaccutane will not be able to have treatment for at least 6 months after finishing their medication.
- Does it hurt?
A lot of clients describe the treatment as mildly uncomfortable at worst. Generally a warming sensation will be felt and the skin might feel ‘tingly’.
- What are the side effects?
There are few, if any, side effects to having a glycolic acid peel. Right after the procedure you might feel some burning, but it often goes away quickly. You may also have some redness, but again, this usually goes away fairly quickly. If you have sensitive or very fair skin you are more likely to encounter these discomforts.
Glycolic acid can make your skin more sensitive to the sun, so you should wear a good sun block after having a glycolic acid peel.
- Is it safe?
Glycolic peels are FDA cleared. Millions of people have the treatment each year, and it’s proven to be both safe and effective. *
- Is there any downtime?
No! You should be able to return to normal activities straight away.
- When will I see results?
Results should appear from right after the treatment to a week later. The results usually last around a month. A course of 6 treatments are necessary for optimal results.*
