The science

A Dermaroller contains hundreds of tiny needles, which, when in use, create micro-injuries on the skin. In turn, this sends collagen and elastin production into overdrive to compensate as it heals which should leave your complexion tighter and plumper than it was beforehand. Due to the Dermaroller’s deep penetration of the skin, serums can be up to 90% more effective when used in conjunction with microneedling.*

FAQs

When will I see results?

It can take up to 6 weeks before visible signs of regeneration and repair are seen. However the process should continue over the following months to provide you with a natural and long lasting enhancement.*

How many treatments do I need?

We will talk to you in depth about this during your consultation, but Genuine Dermaroller therapy usually consists of a course of three treatments at six weekly intervals. For the treatment of acne and other types of scarring it may be necessary for more treatments.*

What will happen during my treatment?

We will apply a topical anaesthetic cream to the area and wait for the area to numb before treatment. The Dermaroller will then be applied to the chosen area and treatment will be carried out. Treatment can be uncomfortable, but it is tolerable with anaesthetic cream.*

Is there any down time?

After the treatment, your skin will be red and is likely to be so for the remainder of the day. By the following day your skin should return to normal and you should be able to pursue your normal everyday activities as usual.*
