Dermaplaning
The mother of exfoliation
There’s no getting around the fact that over time we all build up dead skin cells on our faces, resulting in clogged pores and tired, dull skin. Dermaplaning is the mother of exfoliation, a miraculous exfoliating treatment in which our clinic nurse uses a surgical scalpel to gently scrape off any dead skin cells on the surface of your skin. As a bonus, the treatment takes off your peach fuzz in the process, leaving you with a fuzz-free healthy glow. The treatment is recommended for all skin types and is great for reducing fine lines and wrinkles, and the appearance of acne scarring.

The science
The science behind dermaplaning is simple. The treatment is a safe and highly effective physical exfoliation procedure. It is performed using a sterile, surgical scalpel to gently "shave" the skin's surface, removing the very top layer of dead skin along with fine, vellus hair (aka peach fuzz). For best results, the procedure is performed monthly, in less than forty minutes, with no downtime post-treatment.
In the news
Dermaplaning has been featured across magazines including Elle and Cosmopolitan. Kristen Noel Crawley from Elle told readers, ‘The treatment got rid of my gnarly sideburns with just a few passes—and best of all, it's painless. It felt quite relaxing, actually, like little baby hands running across my face.’ Whilst Cosmo’s Brooke Shunatona boasts, ‘It'll change your life as far as makeup application goes.’
