Thread Vein Removal

If you have thread veins on your face, advanced electrolysis is the perfect treatment. Thread veins, are permanently dilated capillaries. The very thin walls of the fine facial capillaries dilate and constrict constantly throughout life to regulate our body temperature. But as we age, they lose their elasticity and the ability to constrict, so often they become permanently dilated and visible through the skin. Advanced electrolysis is a specialised treatment that uses an electrical current and just the very tip of the finest, smallest needle possible to help to remove unwanted skin blemishes and should leave you with no marks on the skin.*

Skin Tag Removal

Skin tags are quite common and are usually found in areas of friction and are just loose fibrous tissue. Skin tag removal is carried out using advanced electrolysis and is simple and quick. The procedure consists of cauterising the skin tag with an electrolysis needle and is compared to a quick small sting.*

Milia Removal

Milia are small, hard, round white nodules slightly raised above skin level. They are keratin-filled small cysts which are usually seen around the eyes, including the eyelid and between the eyelashes, nose and upper cheeks. Causes are generally unknown, but have been linked to a high cholesterol diet, excessive Vitamin C intake, and the overuse of heavy creams. Milia removal is carried out by advanced electrolysis, where a tiny electrolysis needle is inserted to the milia and the current is applied. A ‘popping’ sensation is often experienced as the needle pierces the keratinised centre of the Milia.*

FAQs

How many treatments will I need?

Many of our clients see a visible reduction in unwanted veins by as much as 75% with one to three treatments. If you are receiving electrolysis to remove skin tags or milia, this should take 1 treatment. It does vary from person to person depending on the size of the area, so we will talk to you in depth about this during your consultation.*

Is electrolysis painful?

All of our treatments are conducted under local anaesthetic, so the treatment should be painless. At most it is a little uncomfortable.*

How long does it take?

This depends on the area that is being treated but should not take longer than an hour.*

Is the treatment permanent?

Once you have carried out your series of treatments the effects should be permanent. However, it is important to remember that if your skin is prone to these blemishes, others may appear.*

Is there any downtime?

No. It’s completely non-surgical, so you should be able to return to normal activities straight away.*
